Raku Rockpool Bowl

Raku Rockpool Bowl

Inspired by the ocean and deep and full rockpools. A stunning turquoise Raku fired bowl. Western Raku is based on the traditional Japanese method of pot firing at low temperatures. Raku translates as happiness. Raku firing is the second firing the pots receive and is performed outdoors. The nature of the natural firings means that it is highly difficult to predict and no pot is the ever the same. Each pot is unique from being hand formed and Raku fired. There is a wealth of colour within the glaze itself which is set off as the natural light catches it. Not suitable for holding food or drink. Made in my West Cornwall Studio, Sparrows Nest. Excess postage for multiple
Items will be refunded at time of posting.
